Machinery Quality Assurance and Verification
Globalization of equipment manufacturing mainly towards low cost countries resulted in the requirement of more firm and stringent Machinery Quality Assurance and Verification before shipment of the goods to plant sites. Defaults should be solved in the OEM’s work shop rather than on remote places or in unsuitably equipped facilities. We at CEMCON AG understood this urgent need of our clients. Our quality assurance team includes German TÜV certified “None Destruction Testing Engineers” and procedures. Often only one defect identified and solved before shipment saves the complete expenses for QA testing. The Machinery Quality Assurance and Verification is carried out in the workshops of each particular equipment. Test can be categorized between mechanical and electrical/automation equipment:
- Verification and testing of specified materials used for manufacturing (e.g. steel qualities, etc.)
- Initial testing of large casted parts (before machining)
- Final testing of large casted parts (after machining)
- Test run of fans, gear boxes, hydraulic units, etc
- Evaluation of structural parts
- Evaluation and measurement tolerances of equipment parts
- Welding quality control
- Testing of electrical switch gear, cabinets, MCC´s, etc
- Testing of automation programs and hardware
- Application of all relevant measurement, magnetic, ultrasonic, X-ray, etc. testing procedures
- Reject, make good of final certification of equipment to be used for LC conditional draws
